Flannel Friday- We Need You!

I've written before about Flannel Friday and what it means to me. Being the only person who does youth programming at my library is often lonely and isolated feeling, especially because I'm a person who likes to brainstorm ideas collaboratively. I am so thankful for communities on Twitter, Flannel Friday, Storytime Underground, Thrive Thursday... (the list goes on) for filling that gap for me.

Currently, our Flannel Friday community on Facebook includes over 900 members! 900! But did you know only 4 people have served in the official role as Flannel Friday Pinterest Pinner? Helping get the Flannel Friday boards organized was actually how I got my start in Flannel Friday. If you are familiar with Pinterest, this is an easy way to become more active in the group. Founding Pinner, Mollie, is expecting a wee bundle of baby joy soon, and we're in desperate need of additional pinners to allow her some much earned time away to snuggle and cuddle. All of our Pinners have also served in the FFFG role, so we are looking to expand the Pinner pool to spread the responsibilities around, in general, as well.

Concerned about time? You don't have to pin everything right away Friday, or even all at once; I often do it Sunday afternoons curled up on the couch. Sort of familiar with Pinterest, but unsure if your skills are up to snuff? We have instructions and best practices to guide you and people are always available to answer any questions you might have about the process.

Sounds like something you'd like to try? Send an email to flannelboardfriday [at] gmail [dot] com. And welcome! :)
